The VIS Advocates are organizing on February 5th, 2025 to advocate for equity in sport for National Girls and Women in Sport Day! Women athletes from around the country will join VOICEINSPORT Foundation as we re-introduce the Fair Play For Women Act and discuss the real issues that girls and women in sport face which is lack of opportunities to participate, scholarship dollars and equitable treatment.
OUR GOALS
During the Capitol Hill Day Briefing athletes from across the US will be sharing their stories of inequities in their school athletic departments shining light on the real issues facing girls and women in sport: lack of opportunities, lack of scholarships, and inequitable treatment.
In 2024 we hosted 250 student athletes filling the Russell Senate House Building Kennedy Room and this year we expect standing room only once again as we discuss the importance of putting forward a bill that will strengthen Title IX and ultimately get to the issues girls and women in sport are facing today.
